Setup, Compatibility & Care
Breaking In Your Boots
New football boots often require a break-in period. Start by wearing your Nike Tiempo Legend 10 Elite FG for short periods during training sessions before using them in a full match. This allows the boots to mold to your feet, reducing the risk of blisters and discomfort.
Compatibility
These boots are strictly designed for Firm Ground (FG) surfaces. This means natural grass pitches that are firm and dry to slightly damp. Using them on artificial turf (AG), soft ground (SG), or indoor surfaces will not only reduce their performance but can also damage the boots and potentially void warranties. Always match your boot type to the playing surface.
Care Instructions
- Cleaning After Use: Immediately after each use, knock off any loose dirt or grass from the studs and upper. Use a soft brush or cloth for stubborn mud.
- Gentle Wash: For a deeper clean, use a mild soap mixed with water and a soft cloth to wipe down the entire boot. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
- Rinse (If Necessary): If using soap, gently rinse with clean water, ensuring no residue remains.
- Air Dry: Always air dry your boots at room temperature. Do not use direct heat sources like radiators or tumble dryers, as this can damage the materials and adhesives.
- Storage: Store your boots in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Consider using boot trees or crumpled newspaper inside to help maintain their shape and absorb moisture.
