Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Lacing: Before your first use, ensure you properly lace up the boots. Start from the bottom eyelets and work your way up, pulling each section tight enough for a snug fit without causing discomfort. Tie a secure double knot to prevent loosening during play.
- Break-in Period: Like most football boots, these may require a short break-in period. Wear them for a few light training sessions or casual kickabouts before a full match to allow the synthetic upper to mold to your foot.
Compatibility
These boots are specifically designed with `Firm Ground (FG)` studs, making them ideal for:
- Natural Grass Pitches: Best performance on dry, natural grass fields.
Not recommended for:
- Artificial Turf (AG) pitches
- Soft Ground (SG) pitches
- Indoor surfaces
Using them on incompatible surfaces can lead to premature wear of the studs, reduced performance, and potential injury.
Care
Proper care extends the life and performance of your boots:
- Cleaning: After each use, especially on muddy pitches, wipe down the boots with a damp cloth to remove dirt and debris. For tougher stains, use a mild soap solution and a soft brush. Avoid harsh chemicals.
- Drying: Allow boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not expose them to direct heat sources like radiators or direct sunlight, as this can damage the synthetic materials.
- Storage: Store your boots in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Consider using boot trees or stuffing them with newspaper to maintain their shape and absorb moisture.
- Odour Control: If odours develop, use shoe deodorizers or sprinkle baking soda inside the boots overnight.
