Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Your adidas Copa Pure III League boots feature a lace closure for a secure, customizable fit. To prepare them for play:
- Loosen Laces: Unlace the boots sufficiently to easily slide your foot in.
- Insert Foot: Place your foot firmly inside, ensuring your heel is comfortably seated in the padded heel area.
- Tighten Laces: Starting from the bottom, pull the laces snugly but not too tightly, working your way up. Ensure even pressure across your foot.
- Tie Securely: Tie the laces in a double knot to prevent them from coming undone during play. A regular fit accommodates most foot shapes, but proper lacing helps optimize comfort and lockdown.
Compatibility
These boots are equipped with an FG/MG outsole, meaning they are designed for:
- Firm Ground (FG): Natural grass pitches that are firm and relatively dry.
- Multi-Ground (MG): A variety of natural grass surfaces, which can include slightly softer conditions or less perfectly manicured pitches.
*Not recommended for:* Artificial grass (AG) or very soft, muddy ground (SG) as the stud configuration is not optimized for these surfaces and may lead to reduced performance or premature wear.
Care
Proper care will extend the life and maintain the performance of your boots:
- Cleaning: After each use, wipe off excess mud and dirt using a damp cloth. For stubborn dirt, a soft brush can be used gently. Avoid harsh chemicals.
- Drying: Allow boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not expose them to direct heat sources like radiators or direct sunlight, as this can damage the synthetic materials and adhesives.
- Storage: Store boots in a cool, dry place. Using boot trees or stuffing them with newspaper can help maintain their shape.
- Water Uptake: While the Fusionfeel upper is engineered for lower water uptake, it's still beneficial to clean and dry them thoroughly after play in wet conditions to maintain their integrity.
