Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Your new adidas Copa Pure III League boots feature a traditional lace closure for a customizable and secure fit. To set them up for first use:
- Lacing: Loosen the laces completely and slide your foot in, ensuring your heel is comfortably seated at the back of the boot.
- Tighten: Systematically tighten the laces from the toes upwards, ensuring a snug but not overly restrictive fit. Double-knot for security during play.
- Break-In: While the synthetic Fusionfeel upper is designed for comfort, it's recommended to wear them for a few light training sessions before a full match to allow them to fully mold to your feet.
Compatibility
These boots are equipped with an FG/MG (Firm Ground/Multi-Ground) outsole, making them suitable for:
- Firm Natural Grass Pitches: Ideal for dry to slightly wet natural grass fields.
- Artificial Grass (AG) Pitches: Designed to perform well on modern artificial turf surfaces without excessive stud pressure.
Note: These boots are not recommended for soft ground (SG) pitches, which are typically very wet and muddy, as the stud configuration is not optimized for those conditions.
Care
Proper care will extend the life and maintain the performance of your boots:
- Cleaning After Use: After every use, especially on wet or muddy pitches, clean off any dirt or debris. Use a soft brush or cloth and lukewarm water. Avoid harsh detergents or abrasive materials.
- Drying: Allow the boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not expose them to direct heat sources like radiators or direct sunlight, as this can damage the synthetic materials and adhesives. Stuffing them with newspaper can help absorb moisture and maintain shape.
- Storage: Store your boots in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. A boot bag can protect them during transport.
- Avoid Machine Washing: Never machine wash your football boots, as this can severely damage their structure and materials.
- Inspect Regularly: Periodically check the studs, upper, and stitching for any signs of wear or damage. Early detection can help prevent further issues.
