Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Setting up your adidas Copa Pure 3 League Boots is straightforward:
- Lacing: Unlace the boots sufficiently to comfortably insert your foot.
- Fit: Slide your foot into the boot, ensuring your heel is seated firmly at the back. There should be snugness without excessive pressure, and a small gap (thumb's width) between your longest toe and the end of the boot.
- Tighten: Pull the flat laces evenly, working from the bottom up, to secure your foot in place. Use a double knot for added security during play.
- Break-in: New boots may feel slightly stiff. Wear them during light training sessions or for short periods initially to allow them to mold to your foot shape.
Compatibility
These boots feature a Comfortplate outsole specifically designed for optimal performance on two key surfaces:
- Firm Ground (FG): Suitable for natural grass pitches that are firm, dry, or slightly damp.
- Artificial Grass (AG): Compatible with modern artificial turf surfaces.
Using these boots on inappropriate surfaces (e.g., extremely soft/muddy ground or indoor courts) may compromise performance, durability, and potentially void any warranty.
Care
Proper care will extend the life and maintain the performance of your boots:
- Cleaning after Use: After each session, wipe down the synthetic upper and soleplate with a damp cloth to remove dirt and mud. A soft brush can help remove stubborn debris from the studs.
- Drying: Always air dry your boots at room temperature. Avoid direct sunlight, radiators, or other heat sources, as this can damage synthetic materials and cause them to crack or stiffen.
- Storage: Store boots in a cool, dry place. Using boot trees or stuffing them with newspaper can help maintain their shape and absorb moisture.
- Avoid Machine Washing: Never put your football boots in a washing machine or dryer.
- Product Label: Always refer to the specific care instructions on the product label for the most accurate guidance.
