Introducing the 2024 Crankbrothers Mallet Trail shoes, engineered for the trail. These shoes feature a stiff outsole for efficient power transfer and aggressive lugs for excellent grip during hike-a-bike sections. Included are cleats and cleat shims to customize your pedal-shoe connection. For Mallet Trail/Candy pedals, use the pre-installed cleat shim. For Mallet E or DH pedals, switch to the included grey shim. The outsole boasts a ramped cleat box for easy pedal entry and mud shedding, with an extended 35mm cleat track for enhanced control and stability on descents. The MC1 rubber compound ensures easy entry and exit, while the optimized outsole design provides balanced traction on and off the bike, offering great walkability. A fiber-reinforced nylon shank efficiently transfers power, and an extended heel provides extra support. Rubber wraps the front for toe protection, and a low-rebound EVA midsole dampens vibrations. The upper features an integrated lace pocket for secure retention, enhanced breathability through laser-cut perforations, and an EVA insole for shock absorption. The padded tongue, PU film for abrasion resistance and easy cleaning, and a relaxed fit ensure all-day comfort, complemented by a padded heel cup for retention and comfort, and robust TPU toe protection.
