A new addition to the crankbrothers shoes range for 2024, these shoes are designed for the trail. The stiff outsole ensures efficient power transfer, while aggressive lugs provide excellent grip for hike-a-bike adventures. The shoes come with cleats and cleat shims to allow riders to fine-tune their shoe-pedal connection. For Mallet Trail / Candy pedals, simply set your cleat placement. If using Mallet E or DH pedals, switch the cleat shim to the grey option included. Outsole features include: READY TO RIDE with pre-installed crankbrothers Match shim and cleat; a ramped MATCH BOX for easy pedal entry and mud shedding; an extended 35mm cleat track for a more stable descending position; mid-friction MC1 rubber compound (MATCH COMPOUND) for easy entry and exit; and an optimised MATCH OUTSOLE for balanced on and off-bike traction and great walkability. The outsole also boasts a stiff fiber-reinforced nylon shank for efficient power transfer, an extended heel for added support and balance, and rubber wrapping on the front for toe protection. A low-rebound EVA midsole dampens vibration. Suggested cleat shim setup: Grey 1.5mm (included) for Mallet E / Mallet DH pedals, and Black 1.0mm (installed under cleat) for Mallet Trail, Candy, and Doubleshot pedals. Upper features include: an integrated lace pocket for retention; enhanced breathability through laser-cut perforations; an EVA insole for shock and vibration absorption; a padded tongue; PU film for abrasion resistance and easy cleaning; a relaxed fit for all-day comfort; a padded heel cup for excellent retention and comfort; and robust TPU toe protection.
