A new addition to the Crankbrothers shoes range for 2024, these shoes are designed for the trail. They feature a stiff outsole for efficient power transfer and aggressive lugs for hike-a-bike adventures. The shoes come with cleats and cleat shims to allow riders to fine-tune their shoe-pedal match. For Mallet Trail/Candy pedals, simply set your cleat placement. If you are running Mallet E or DH pedals, switch the cleat shim for the grey option included. OUTSOLE: Features a "READY TO RIDE" crankbrothers Match shim and cleat pre-installed. The "MATCH BOX" has a ramped design for easy pedal entry and mud shedding, with an extended 35mm cleat track for a more rearward position, enhancing control and stability during descents. The "MATCH COMPOUND" utilizes a mid-friction MC1 rubber for easy entry and exit. The "MATCH OUTSOLE" is engineered for balanced traction both on and off the bike, offering excellent walkability and an optimized pedal interface. A stiff fiber-reinforced nylon shank ensures efficient power transfer. The extended heel provides additional support and balance when off the bike. Rubber wraps the front for enhanced toe protection, and a low-rebound EVA midsole dampens vibration. Suggested cleat shim setup: Grey 1.5mm (included) for Mallet E / Mallet DH pedals, and Black 1.0mm (installed under cleat) for Mallet Trail, Candy, and Doubleshot pedals. UPPER: Features an integrated lace pocket for secure lace retention. Enhanced breathability is provided through laser-cut perforations. The EVA insole absorbs shock and vibration, complemented by a padded tongue. A PU film offers abrasion resistance and easy cleaning, while a relaxed fit ensures all-day comfort. The padded heel cup provides excellent retention and comfort, and robust TPU toe protection adds durability.
