A new addition to the Crankbrothers shoes range for 2024, these Mallet Trail Lace cycling shoes are designed for the trail. They feature a stiff outsole for optimal power transfer combined with aggressive lugs for hike-a-bike adventures. The shoes include cleats and cleat shims for fine-tuning your shoe-pedal connection. The outsole is constructed with an MC1 rubber compound for easy entry and exit, a ramped cleat box for effortless pedal engagement and mud shedding, and an extended cleat track for enhanced control and stability. The fiber-reinforced nylon shank ensures efficient power transfer, while the extended heel offers additional support and balance off the bike. Rubber wraps the front for toe protection, and the low-rebound EVA midsole dampens vibrations. Suggested cleat shim setup: Grey 1.5mm (included) for Mallet E / Mallet DH pedals, and Black 1.0mm (installed under cleat) for Mallet Trail, Candy, and Doubleshot pedals. The upper features an integrated lace pocket for retention, laser-cut perforations for breathability, an EVA insole for shock absorption, a padded tongue, and PU film for abrasion resistance and easy cleaning. They offer a relaxed fit for all-day comfort, a padded heel cup for secure retention, and robust TPU toe protection.
