Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Lacing: Ensure the laces are threaded correctly and evenly. Lace the boots firmly, but not too tightly, to achieve a secure yet comfortable fit. A good lace-up should prevent your foot from sliding within the boot while allowing natural movement.
- Break-in: As these boots feature engineered leather, a short break-in period may be beneficial. Wear them during light training sessions or for short periods around the house to allow the material to mold to your foot shape before a full match.
Compatibility
- Playing Surface: These boots are designed specifically for Firm Ground (FG) pitches. This typically refers to natural grass fields that are dry and firm. Using them on artificial turf (AG) or soft/wet natural ground (SG) may compromise performance, durability, and could increase the risk of injury.
- User: Optimized for adult players.
Care
Proper care extends the life and maintains the performance of your boots:
- Cleaning: After each use, remove any excess mud or dirt using a soft brush or damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that could damage the leather.
- Drying: Allow the boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not expose them to direct heat sources (e.g., radiators, direct sunlight, tumble dryers) as this can dry out and crack the leather.
- Storage: Store your boots in a cool, dry place. Using shoe trees can help maintain their shape.
- Product Label: Always refer to the product label inside your boots for specific care instructions provided by Nike. Composition is leather, textile, and synthetics.
