Setup, Compatibility & Care
Getting Started (Setup)
- First Fit: When first trying on your laceless boots, ensure you have sufficient toe room (about a thumb's width) while feeling a snug, locked-in sensation around the midfoot and heel. Because they are laceless, there's no adjustment, so the initial fit is key.
- Break-In Period: Like most new football boots, these may require a short break-in period. Wear them for a few light training sessions before a match to allow the HybridFeel upper to mold to your foot.
- Putting On: While laceless, use the pull tabs on the collar to carefully guide your foot in. A shoehorn can also assist in easing your foot into the snug Primeknit collar without damaging the material.
Compatibility
These boots feature a Firm Ground/Multi-Ground (FG MG) soleplate. This means they are specifically designed and compatible with:
- Firm Ground (FG): Natural grass pitches that are firm and dry.
- Artificial Grass (MG): Modern artificial grass surfaces (often referred to as 3G or 4G pitches).
Avoid using these boots on extremely hard ground, concrete, or indoor courts, as this can damage the soleplate and compromise stud integrity.
Product Care
Proper care extends the life and performance of your boots:
- Cleaning After Use: Immediately after each use, remove loose dirt and mud. Use a soft brush (like an old toothbrush) and a damp cloth. For tougher grime, a mild soap solution can be used.
- Rinse Thoroughly: If using soap, rinse with clean water, ensuring no soap residue remains.
- Drying: Air dry your boots at room temperature. Never use direct heat (like radiators, dryers, or direct sunlight) as this can dry out and crack the synthetic materials.
- Stuffing: Stuff your boots with newspaper or paper towels to absorb moisture and help maintain their shape as they dry.
- Storage: Store your boots in a cool, dry place, away from extreme temperatures. A boot bag can protect them from scratches.
- Avoid Machine Washing: Do not machine wash your football boots, as this can severely damage the materials and adhesives.
- Check Studs: Regularly inspect the studs for wear or damage, especially when playing on various surfaces. While the FGMG soleplate is durable, consistent use will eventually lead to wear.
