Setup, Compatibility & Care
First-Time Wear and Fit
- Sizing: Ensure you have selected the correct size. Due to the laceless design, there's no way to adjust the tightness, so a proper initial fit is crucial.
- Putting On: Gently work your foot into the boot. The Primeknit collar is designed to be supportive yet flexible. It might feel snug initially, which is intended for a secure, locked-down feel. A shoehorn can be helpful for the first few wears until the collar adapts to your foot shape.
- Break-in Period: Like most football boots, these may require a short break-in period to fully adapt to your foot's unique contours and for the HybridFeel upper to soften completely. Wear them for light training sessions before a full match.
Compatibility
These boots feature a versatile FGMG (Firm Ground/Multi Ground) soleplate, making them suitable for:
- Firm Natural Grass (FG): Ideal for dry, natural grass pitches.
- Artificial Grass (MG): Performs effectively on various types of artificial turf.
Always ensure the pitch is well-maintained to prevent premature wear on the studs.
Care and Maintenance
Proper care will extend the life and maintain the performance of your boots:
- Immediate Cleaning: After each use, remove loose dirt and mud from the upper and soleplate using a soft brush or damp cloth. This prevents build-up and maintains grip.
- Wiping Down: Use a damp cloth with mild soap (if necessary) to gently wipe the HybridFeel upper and Strikescale elements. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners that could damage the material or finishes.
- Drying: Allow boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Avoid direct heat sources like radiators or sunlight, as this can cause materials to crack or stiffen.
- Storage: Store boots in a cool, dry place, ideally with boot trees or crumpled paper inside to help maintain their shape.
- Recycled Materials: While made in part with recycled materials, care should be taken as with any high-performance footwear to ensure longevity.
