Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Your new adidas RS-15 boots are ready to wear out of the box. Ensure the laces are securely tied for a snug, personalized fit. For soft ground boots, it's always a good practice to double-check that the studs are firmly tightened before your first use and periodically thereafter. If any studs are loose, gently tighten them with an appropriate stud key.
Compatibility
These boots are specifically designed for soft ground (SG) pitches. This means natural grass fields that are wet, muddy, or have a significant give underfoot. They are not recommended for firm ground (FG), artificial grass (AG), or hard ground surfaces, as this can damage the studs, reduce performance, and potentially cause injury. Using them on inappropriate surfaces may also void any warranty.
Care
To maximize the lifespan and performance of your RS-15 boots:
- Clean After Every Use: Immediately after playing, remove all excess mud and debris. Use a stiff brush for the soleplate and studs, and a damp cloth to wipe down the synthetic upper.
- Rinse (If Necessary): If extremely muddy, a quick rinse under lukewarm water can help, but avoid soaking the entire boot.
- Air Dry: Do not put your boots in a dryer or near direct heat sources, as this can damage the synthetic materials. Stuff them with newspaper or paper towels to absorb moisture and help maintain their shape, then leave them to air dry in a well-ventilated area.
- Check Studs: Regularly inspect studs for wear, damage, or looseness. Replace worn-out studs to maintain optimal grip and safety.
- Storage: Store your boots in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
