Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Preparation: Ensure you are wearing appropriate football socks.
- Putting On: Gently pull the Dynamic Fit collar upwards and slip your foot into the boot. The collar is designed to provide a snug, sock-like fit around your ankle.
- Lacing: Securely lace your boots, ensuring a comfortable, firm fit without overtightening. Adjust until your foot feels locked in but not restricted.
- Break-in: Like all new football boots, these may require a short break-in period. Wear them for light training sessions before competitive matches to allow them to mold to your feet.
Compatibility
These Nike Mercurial Superfly 10 Academy boots are Multi-Ground (FG/MG), meaning they are specifically designed for optimal performance on:
- Firm Ground (FG): Natural grass pitches that are slightly wet but not muddy.
- Artificial Grass (AG): Modern synthetic turf pitches.
Avoid using these boots on extremely hard ground, concrete, or indoor surfaces, as this can damage the soleplate and studs, and void any warranty.
Care
- Cleaning: After each use, remove loose dirt and mud using a soft brush or cloth. Wipe down the upper with a damp cloth. For tougher stains, use a mild soap solution.
- Drying: Allow your boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Avoid direct heat sources like radiators or direct sunlight, as this can cause materials to stiffen, crack, or shrink.
- Storage: Store your boots in a cool, dry place away from extreme temperatures. Using shoe trees or crumpled newspaper can help maintain their shape and absorb moisture.
- Inspection: Regularly check the studs for wear and tear. Damaged studs can affect performance and increase the risk of injury. Proper care extends the lifespan and performance of your boots.
