Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Surface Preparation: Ensure your walls and ceilings are clean, dry, and free from any loose or flaking material. Fill any cracks or holes with appropriate filler and sand smooth. For glossy surfaces, a light sanding will create a 'key' for better adhesion. New plaster or very porous surfaces may benefit from a mist coat (paint thinned with water) or a suitable primer.
- Stirring: Before use, thoroughly stir the paint to ensure the colour and consistency are uniform.
- Application: Apply the paint using a good quality brush or roller. For optimal results and true colour depth, two coats are generally recommended. Allow sufficient drying time between coats as indicated on the can.
Compatibility
This paint is specifically formulated for use on interior walls and ceilings. It is not recommended for exterior use or for surfaces like wood, metal, or floors.
Care
- Cleaning Painted Surfaces: For everyday marks and spills, gently wipe the affected area with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive sponges, harsh chemical cleaners, or excessive scrubbing, as these can potentially damage the matte finish.
- Storing Leftover Paint: Securely replace the lid on the paint can. Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and frost. Ensure the storage area is well-ventilated.
