Johnstone's Wall & Ceiling Matt Emulsion is ideal for homeowners and professional decorators looking to achieve a sophisticated, low-sheen finish on interior surfaces. This high-quality paint offers excellent coverage and a smooth, creamy application that helps minimize surface imperfections, making it perfect for both modern refreshes and full room renovations. While it is highly durable and wipeable, users should note that the matte finish is best suited for low-traffic areas compared to high-sheen alternatives that offer greater stain resistance.

Yes, this paint is specifically formulated for both walls and ceilings.
It features a matte finish, which is low-sheen and provides a smooth, non-reflective appearance.
Yes, once fully cured, the surface is wipeable, allowing for easy removal of light marks.
Typically, two coats are recommended for optimal coverage and a professional, uniform finish.
While durable, matte emulsion is generally not recommended for high-humidity rooms; a specialist bathroom paint is preferable.
The matte finish is excellent for minimizing the visibility of minor surface imperfections.
Ensure you are using a high-quality roller and avoid overworking the paint once it begins to tack.
Check that the surface was completely dry and free of moisture or grease before application; prime damp or porous walls first.
Apply a second coat once the first is fully dry to ensure even opacity and color depth.
Before application, ensure all surfaces are clean, dry, and free from dust or loose debris. Use a quality roller for large surface areas and a synthetic brush for cutting in corners and around edges. Always stir the paint thoroughly before use. For best results, ensure the room temperature is above 10 degrees Celsius. Once applied, allow sufficient drying time between coats as specified on the packaging. To care for your painted walls, wipe gently with a damp, soft cloth as needed; avoid abrasive sponges or harsh chemical cleaners that may damage the matte finish.
