Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Lacing: Loosen the laces completely before putting on the boots.
- Fit Adjustment: Slide your foot in and gently pull the laces to achieve a snug, secure fit. Ensure the tongue is centered and there are no pressure points.
- Knotting: Tie a secure knot, double-knotting if preferred, to prevent laces from coming undone during play. A properly laced boot will feel like an extension of your foot.
Compatibility
These boots are specifically designed for firm natural ground (FG) surfaces. This includes most well-maintained grass pitches. They are not recommended for artificial grass (AG), turf (TF), or soft ground (SG) pitches, as the stud configuration is optimized for natural firm conditions and could lead to reduced performance or premature wear on other surfaces.
Care
Regular care extends the life of your boots and maintains performance:
- Cleaning After Use: After each use, remove excess mud and dirt from the upper and outsole using a soft brush or cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals.
- Wiping Down: Wipe the synthetic upper with a damp cloth to remove any grime. For stubborn dirt, a mild soap solution can be used.
- Drying: Allow the boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Avoid direct heat sources like radiators or direct sunlight, as this can damage the synthetic materials and adhesives.
- Odor Control: Place crumpled newspaper inside the boots to absorb moisture and odors, or use shoe deodorizers.
- Storage: Store your boots in a cool, dry place, ideally in a boot bag or box, to protect them from dust and damage.
