Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Lace Up: Before playing, ensure you lace your boots securely. Start from the bottom eyelets and tighten consistently upwards. Experiment with different lacing techniques to find what provides the most comfortable and secure fit for your foot shape. A snug fit is crucial for optimal ball control and preventing blisters.
- Break-in Period: New boots, especially synthetic ones, may require a short break-in period. Wear them for light training sessions before competitive matches to allow them to mold to your feet.
Compatibility
These boots are specifically designed for firm natural ground (FG). This means they are best suited for dry or slightly damp grass pitches. Using them on artificial turf (AG), soft ground (SG), or indoor surfaces will compromise performance, accelerate wear, and could potentially void any warranty.
Care
Proper care extends the life and performance of your boots:
- Clean After Each Use: After every session, remove excess dirt and mud. Use a soft brush (like a toothbrush) to clean the studs and outsole. Wipe down the synthetic upper with a damp cloth.
- Avoid Harsh Chemicals: Do not use strong detergents, solvents, or harsh cleaning agents, as these can damage the synthetic and textile materials.
- Dry Properly: Never force dry your boots using direct heat sources (e.g., radiators, hairdryers) as this can crack and stiffen the materials. Instead, stuff them with newspaper to absorb moisture and allow them to air dry at room temperature. Remove the insoles for faster drying.
- Storage: Store your boots in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. A boot bag can protect them during transport.
- Inspect Regularly: Periodically check for any signs of wear or damage, especially on the studs and seams. Address minor issues early to prevent them from worsening.
