The North Face Nuketo Wind Jacket is an essential outer layer for adult men seeking lightweight protection against blustery conditions and light precipitation. Crafted from durable polyester, it offers a reliable barrier against wind chill through its windproof and water-resistant construction, making it an excellent choice for transitional weather or outdoor commutes. While it excels at blocking the breeze, users should note that as a lightweight windbreaker, it is designed for layering rather than extreme heavy-duty insulation in sub-zero temperatures.

The Nuketo is water-resistant, meaning it is designed to repel light rain and moisture, but it is not fully seam-sealed waterproof for heavy rain.
Yes, the regular fit allows for comfortable layering, though the amount of space will depend on your specific size choice.
The hood features elasticated binding for a secure fit, but it does not have a mechanical drawcord.
Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with similar colors. Do not bleach and avoid using fabric softeners.
It is best suited for wind protection in mild to cool conditions. For deep winter, it is recommended to layer it over an insulating mid-layer.
The water-resistant coating (DWR) may be wearing off. Consider applying a textile-safe DWR spray after cleaning.
Gently clean the zipper tracks with a soft brush to remove debris and ensure the storm flap fabric is clear before zipping.
This jacket features a regular fit, which is designed to sit comfortably over base layers or thin mid-layers like fleece. To maintain the performance of the water-resistant finish, it is recommended to wash the garment in cold water on a gentle cycle. Always zip all closures before washing to prevent damage to the fabric. Avoid using heavy detergents or fabric softeners, as these can compromise the protective treatment. For drying, air drying is the best method to preserve the integrity of the elasticized cuffs and internal adjusters. Keep the jacket away from extreme heat sources, such as radiators, which can warp synthetic materials.
