Full details
The ASICS GEL-1130 is an ideal choice for adults seeking a blend of vintage aesthetic and modern stability for everyday urban wear. FAQs
Is the ASICS GEL-1130 suitable for professional running?
No, while it originated as a stability running shoe in 2008, the current model is redesigned specifically for casual, everyday lifestyle wear.
Are these shoes unisex?
Yes, the GEL-1130 is designed as a unisex model, though fit may vary slightly depending on individual foot width.
How do I choose the right size?
The sizes provided are in UK adult sizing. We recommend choosing your standard size, ensuring a thumb's width of space at the front of the shoe.
Can I put these shoes in the washing machine?
No, machine washing can compromise the structural integrity and the GEL cushioning. Hand cleaning is recommended.
What makes this model stable?
The shoe features a structured design reminiscent of its 2008 performance roots, which keeps the foot centered and supported during walking.
What is the primary material used?
The upper construction varies by model but typically incorporates high-quality leather and synthetic textiles for durability and style.
Troubleshooting
Sneaker feels slightly tight initially
Loosen the laces fully and re-tie them with even tension to allow the upper to accommodate your foot volume.
Visible scuffs on leather sections
Use a specialized leather cleaner or a soft-bristled brush to gently buff out marks.
Insole starts to feel worn
The insoles are removable; consider replacing them with aftermarket orthotics if you require customized arch support.

Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your ASICS GEL-1130 trainers remain in top condition, follow these guidelines:
- Break-in Period: While comfortable out of the box, wear them for short periods during the first week to allow the materials to adapt to your foot shape.
- Cleaning: Use a soft brush or cloth with mild soap and cool water to remove surface dirt. Avoid machine washing or using harsh chemical cleaners, as these can degrade the leather and fabric.
- Drying: Air dry only in a well-ventilated area away from direct heat sources like radiators, which can cause materials to warp or crack.
- Storage: Keep them in a dry, cool place. Use shoe trees if you want to maintain the original silhouette over time.
