Setup, Compatibility & Care
Preparation is key:
- Bare Metal: Remove loose rust and paint with a wire brush or 120-grit sandpaper. Wipe clean with a damp cloth.
- Previously Painted Metal (Good Condition): Lightly sand with 240-grit sandpaper. Wipe clean.
- Previously Painted Metal (Flaking): Remove flaking paint with sandpaper or a wire brush. Wipe clean and allow to dry.
Surface Requirements: Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry, and free from dirt, dust, and grease.
Application Conditions:
- Apply on a dry day.
- Temperature must be above 10°C.
- Avoid painting if rain is expected.
Application Methods:
- Stir paint thoroughly for 2-3 minutes before use.
- Use a paintbrush or roller for standard application.
- For spraying, dilute with approximately 10% water or follow sprayer manufacturer guidelines.
Coats: Apply two coats for general coverage, or three coats for rusty metal and maximum durability.
Drying Time: Touch dry in 30 minutes. Allow 2-4 hours between coats.
Cleaning: Clean brushes and rollers immediately after use with warm, soapy water.
Disposal: Do not empty leftover paint into drains or watercourses. Dispose of paint and containers responsibly according to local regulations.
Compatibility: Suitable for use on Metal, Wood, Cast Iron, and Aluminium.
