Setup, Compatibility & Care Instructions
Setup
- Initial Try-On: When first trying on the boots, wear the type of football socks you typically use for playing. The fit should feel snug but not uncomfortably tight, especially with K-leather which will stretch slightly.
- Lacing: Utilize the lace closure to achieve a secure yet comfortable fit. Start lacing from the bottom, ensuring even tension throughout to minimize pressure points and maximize support. Double-knot for security during play.
- Break-in Period: Allow for a short break-in period. Wear them for light training sessions or casual use before a competitive match to let the K-leather fully conform to your foot.
Compatibility
- These boots are specifically engineered for Firm Ground (FG) pitches. This means natural grass fields that are dry and relatively hard. They are not recommended for use on artificial turf (AG), soft ground (SG), or indoor surfaces, as this can damage the boots and reduce performance.
Care
To ensure the longevity and maintain the premium quality of your K-leather boots, follow these care steps:
- Clean After Each Use: Remove excess mud and dirt immediately after playing. Use a soft brush or damp cloth (not soaking wet) to gently wipe down the upper and soleplate.
- Leather Conditioning: As the upper is made of leather, it's essential to condition it periodically to prevent drying and cracking. Apply a specialized leather conditioner or cream to keep the leather soft and supple. Avoid harsh chemicals.
- Drying: Allow the boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not place them near direct heat sources like radiators or in direct sunlight, as this can cause the leather to crack or shrink.
- Stuffing: To help maintain their shape and absorb moisture, stuff the boots with newspaper or a shoe tree when not in use.
- Storage: Store boots in a cool, dry place, ideally in a boot bag to protect them from dust and damage.
