Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup & Break-in
- Initial Wear: When you first receive your Copa Mundial boots, wear them for short periods during light training sessions or walks. This allows the premium K-leather to naturally mold to the unique contours of your feet.
- Lace Adjustment: Utilize the lace closure to achieve a snug, yet comfortable fit. Experiment with different lacing techniques to find what provides the best support for your foot shape.
- Softening Leather: To expedite the break-in process and keep the leather supple, you can apply a specialized leather conditioner specifically designed for football boots.
Compatibility
- Playing Surface: These boots are designed exclusively for firm ground (FG). This refers to natural grass pitches that are generally dry and well-maintained. They are not recommended for soft ground, artificial turf (AG), or indoor surfaces, as using them on unsuitable surfaces can cause damage to the boots and potentially lead to injury.
- Fit: Features a regular fit. Consult sizing charts if unsure, as leather will stretch slightly over time.
Care Instructions
Proper care is crucial for the longevity and performance of your K-leather boots. Follow these guidelines:
- Clean After Each Use: Immediately after playing, remove excess mud and dirt from the upper and sole using a soft brush or a damp cloth.
- Air Dry: Remove the insoles and stuff the boots with newspaper to absorb moisture. Allow them to air dry naturally in a well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight or artificial heat sources (like radiators), which can dry out and crack the leather.
- Condition Leather: Regularly apply a high-quality leather conditioner or cream to the K-leather upper. This will help maintain its softness, prevent drying, cracking, and preserve its water-resistant properties.
- Storage: Store your boots in a cool, dry place. Using shoe trees can help maintain their shape.
- Avoid Machine Washing: Never machine wash or tumble dry your football boots.
