No, this specific eggshell paint is formulated for interior use on woodwork and metal.
While it depends on the surface, using a suitable primer is always recommended for better adhesion and a more professional, uniform finish.
The paint is quick-drying, though exact times vary based on temperature and humidity. Always refer to the tin for the recommended recoat interval.
This paint is suitable for most metal surfaces, but check that the radiator is cool before application and ensure the paint is rated for heat if the radiator runs at high temperatures.
Generally, two coats are recommended for the best opacity and finish durability.
Ensure the surface was sanded to create a key and is free of dust or oils before application.
Use a high-quality synthetic brush and ensure you are not over-working the paint; apply in smooth, consistent strokes.
Check that the surface was properly primed; porous surfaces often require an undercoat to ensure an even finish.
To ensure the best performance, start by cleaning all surfaces to remove dust, grease, or flaking old paint. Sand down glossy surfaces to provide a key for adhesion and fill any cracks or gaps with an appropriate filler. Apply the paint using high-quality brushes or rollers, maintaining a "wet edge" to prevent streaks. For care, avoid harsh chemical cleaners; a soft, damp cloth is usually sufficient to maintain the finish. If the paint is stored for later use, ensure the lid is sealed tightly and kept in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
