ASICS Novablast 5 - White - Grey - UK 6

The Novablast 5 is ideal for neutral runners looking for a highly cushioned, energetic, and versatile shoe for daily training, long runs, and tempo efforts.

FF BLAST™ MAX is ASICS' advanced midsole foam technology that provides exceptional softness, bounce, and energy return, making your runs feel more comfortable and lively.

The lifespan of running shoes typically ranges from 300 to 500 miles. However, this can vary based on your running style, weight, and terrain. Pay attention to signs of reduced cushioning, excessive outsole wear, or discomfort.

While the Novablast 5 offers an energetic ride, it is primarily designed as a highly cushioned daily trainer. Many runners prefer a lighter, firmer, or more aggressive shoe for personal best attempts on race day, but it can certainly be used for races if it feels good for you.

The ASICS Novablast 5 has an 8mm heel offset (stack height 41.5mm heel / 33.5mm forefoot), which is a common drop suitable for a wide range of foot strikes.

Hand wash with mild soap and cold water. Avoid machine washing or using harsh detergents. Air dry naturally away from direct heat sources to preserve the materials.

Adjust lacing technique, ensuring it's snug but not restrictive. Consider trying different lacing patterns, such as skipping an eyelet, to relieve pressure points. Ensure you are wearing appropriate running socks.

Running shoe foams compress over time. This is a sign the shoes may be nearing the end of their lifespan (typically 300-500 miles, depending on individual use). Consider replacing them.

Re-tie laces more securely, particularly using the top eyelets or a 'heel lock' lacing method. Ensure the shoe size is correct and wear appropriate running socks that prevent friction.

Uneven wear can indicate pronation or supination issues. While the Novablast 5 is a neutral shoe, consult with a running specialist to assess your gait and potentially explore inserts or different shoe types if discomfort arises.

The Novablast 5 has 'tongue wings' designed to reduce this. Ensure the laces are threaded through the tongue loop if available. If the issue persists, check if the shoe size is appropriate, as a too-loose fit can contribute.
