Setup, Compatibility & Care
Before your first outing, ensure you have the correct fit, as the leather material provides a structured feel that should accommodate your foot shape without excessive sliding. To maximize the lifespan of your shoes, keep them clean by removing dried mud with a soft brush after every hike. If the leather becomes saturated, allow them to air dry naturally away from direct heat sources, such as radiators, which can cause the leather to crack. Periodically treat the exterior with a leather-specific waterproofing wax to maintain the water-repellent finish and keep the material supple.
