Setup, Compatibility & Care
Before your first hike, ensure the fit is snug but allows for slight natural foot swelling during exercise. For optimal performance, always wear high-quality hiking socks to assist with moisture wicking. To maintain your shoes, remove heavy dirt and mud with a soft brush after every hike. If the leather becomes saturated, dry them slowly away from direct heat sources like radiators, as high heat can damage the leather and the waterproof membrane. Periodically apply a leather-specific conditioner or reproofing treatment to keep the exterior water-resistant and supple.
