The Salomon XT-6 GTX trainers are designed for active adults who demand a high-performance shoe that seamlessly transitions from rugged outdoor trails to urban environments. These trainers excel by providing superior traction and durable weather protection in a lightweight frame, though the specialized technical construction may require a short break-in period for optimal comfort. Featuring a signature mesh upper and the advanced Mud Contagrip outsole, they are engineered to maintain stability and breathability in diverse conditions.

The XT-6 GTX features a Gore-Tex membrane which is highly water-resistant, keeping your feet dry in rain and wet conditions, but they are not fully submersible.
Use a soft-bristled brush and lukewarm water. Avoid using harsh chemicals or bleach.
Yes, Salomon offers replacement lace kits if the original cords become worn over time.
The XT-6 GTX generally features a performance fit that is slightly narrow. We recommend trying them on or sizing up if you have wide feet.
While highly capable, they are designed as multi-functional trainers. They provide excellent stability for hiking and walking but may feel firmer than dedicated road running shoes.
Adjust the Quicklace tension at the top and redistribute the tightness by pulling on the lace sections near the eyelets.
Ensure the lace pocket is closed and check the upper mesh for debris; the Gore-Tex layer is water-resistant, not fully waterproof if submerged above the collar.
The Mud Contagrip is optimized for soft, loose surfaces; ensure the lugs are free of mud or debris that might impede surface contact.
To ensure the best fit, adjust the Quicklace system by pulling the tab upward and sliding the locking mechanism down until secure. Store the excess lace in the dedicated lace pocket on the tongue to prevent snagging.
For cleaning, remove loose dirt with a soft brush after every use on muddy trails. If the shoes become heavily soiled, hand wash them in cool water with a mild detergent. Do not machine wash or tumble dry, as high heat can damage the Gore-Tex membrane and the structural adhesives. Allow the shoes to air dry naturally, away from direct sunlight or artificial heat sources like radiators, to maintain material integrity.
