While the standard XT-6 is durable, they are not inherently waterproof. Ensure you check if your specific model includes Gore-Tex features if water resistance is a requirement.
The XT-6 is a technical trainer designed for stability and light trails. While they are very supportive, they are generally classified as performance trainers rather than dedicated long-distance road running shoes.
Salomon sizes generally follow standard UK sizing. If you prefer extra room for thicker socks, consider that the technical fit is designed to be secure and snug.
It is not recommended to machine wash your trainers, as this can degrade the glue and structural components. Hand cleaning is the safest method.
These shoes are best suited for hard surfaces like pavement, gravel paths, and light, non-technical trails.
The XT-6 has a technical build. Wear the shoes for shorter durations initially to allow the materials to adapt to your foot shape.
Use a specialized sneaker cleaner or a damp cloth after each outdoor session to prevent dirt from setting into the fabric.
To ensure the longevity of your Salomon XT-6 trainers, it is recommended to keep them clean by removing surface dirt with a soft brush after trail use. If the shoes become heavily soiled, wipe them down with a damp cloth and mild soap; avoid submerging them in water or using harsh detergents. Allow the shoes to air dry naturally away from direct heat sources to prevent material damage or warping of the midsole. For the best fit, ensure you are wearing appropriate socks for your activity level, as the technical design is engineered to work best with standard-thickness athletic socks.
