FAQs

Are these shoes suitable for a marathon?

Yes, the responsive cushioning and plate are well-suited for marathon-distance road racing and training.

How does the nylon plate differ from carbon?

The nylon plate provides a slightly more flexible and forgiving ride compared to the stiffer feel of carbon, making it more versatile for daily training.

Is the material easy to clean?

The nylon upper is durable and can be cleaned with a damp cloth; avoid machine washing to prevent structural damage.

Can I use these for trail running?

These are optimized for road surfaces; while they may handle light gravel paths, they are not intended for technical trail terrain.

What is the primary benefit of the Kissaten edition?

It offers the same technical performance as the standard model but with a unique design inspired by Japanese teahouses, including custom floral prints.

Troubleshooting

Feeling instability on uneven surfaces

The shoe is designed for road surfaces; ensure you are utilizing them on paved or tracked paths rather than technical trails.

Difficulty maintaining secure lockdown

Check your lacing pattern; utilize the top eyelet for a 'runner's loop' to enhance heel security.

Pros and Cons

Setup, Compatibility & Care

These trainers are designed for standard road running surfaces. To ensure the longest lifespan for the materials:

Cleaning: Gently wipe the nylon upper and soles with a damp cloth after runs to remove debris and dust.
Drying: Air dry naturally away from direct heat sources to prevent damage to the foam.
Storage: Keep in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight to maintain the integrity of the textile patterns.
Rotation: Allow the cushioning to recover by alternating with another pair of shoes if you run daily.
