Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Getting started with your adidas Mundial Team boots is straightforward:
- Lace Up: Utilize the traditional lace closure to achieve a snug and secure fit. Ensure laces are tied firmly but not excessively tight to prevent discomfort.
- Break-in (Optional but Recommended): For optimal comfort, especially with new leather boots, consider a short break-in period. Wear them for lighter sessions or around the house for a few hours to allow the leather to mold to the unique shape of your foot.
Compatibility
These boots are specifically designed for:
- Artificial Turf (AG)
- Hard Ground (HG)
- Astroturf (TF)
They are not optimized for:
- Soft Ground (SG) or Firm Ground (FG) natural grass pitches.
- Indoor Court (IC) surfaces, which typically require non-marking soles.
Care & Maintenance
Proper care extends the life and performance of your boots:
- Clean After Each Use: After every session, wipe down the leather and suede upper with a damp cloth to remove dirt, mud, and debris. This prevents dirt from drying and hardening, which can damage the material.
- Avoid Harsh Chemicals: Do not use strong detergents, solvents, or abrasive cleaners, as these can strip the natural oils from the leather and cause damage.
- Air Dry Naturally: Always allow your boots to air dry at room temperature. Avoid placing them near direct heat sources like radiators or in direct sunlight, which can cause the leather to crack or shrink.
- Stuff for Shape (Optional): If boots become very wet, stuff them loosely with newspaper to absorb moisture and help retain their shape while drying. Replace the newspaper periodically.
- Store Properly: Store your boots in a cool, dry place away from extreme temperatures when not in use.
