Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Lace Up: Fully loosen the laces and slide your foot into the spike.
- Adjust Xcross Strap: Securely pull the `Xcross strap` over the top of your foot and fasten it. Ensure it's snug but not overly tight to avoid restricting circulation.
- Tighten Laces: Cinch the laces evenly from the toe towards the ankle, ensuring a secure, customized fit.
- Check Spikes: Before first use and periodically, ensure all 6 spikes are securely tightened. Use the provided spike wrench if adjustments are needed.
Compatibility
These spikes are specifically designed and optimized for long jump events. While they might provide some benefits for other jumping events, their engineering is tailored to the unique biomechanics and demands of the long jump. They are compatible with standard track surfaces.
Care
- Cleaning: After use, especially in muddy or dusty conditions, gently wipe down the spikes with a damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or machine washing.
- Drying: Allow the spikes to air dry completely at room temperature. Do not expose them to direct heat sources, which can damage materials.
- Spike Maintenance: Regularly inspect the spikes for wear. If they become dull or worn, they can be replaced. Always use replacement spikes compatible with your model. Ensure they are tightened before each use to prevent loss during competition.
- Storage: Store your spikes in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight, to prolong their lifespan.
