Setup
Your Nike Air Zoom Longjump Elite spikes come ready for competition. Ensure all 6 spikes are securely tightened before first use. Periodically check spike tightness to prevent loosening during activity. Spikes can be replaced if worn or if different lengths are required for specific track conditions.
Compatibility
These spikes are specifically designed and optimized for long jump events. While they might provide some traction on other track surfaces, their specialized design features (e.g., forefoot Zoom Air, heel cushioning) are tailored to the unique biomechanics of the long jump. Using them for other events like sprints or middle-distance running may not yield optimal performance or comfort.
Care
To ensure the longevity and performance of your Nike Air Zoom Longjump Elite spikes, follow these care instructions:
- Cleaning: After each use, gently wipe off any dirt or debris from the upper and outsole with a damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals.
- Drying: Allow the spikes to air dry completely at room temperature. Do not expose them to direct heat sources like radiators or direct sunlight, as this can damage materials.
- Spike Maintenance: Regularly inspect the spikes for wear and tear. Replace any worn or broken spikes promptly. Keep the spike receptacles clean from dirt to ensure easy replacement.
- Storage: Store your spikes in a cool, dry place, ideally in a breathable shoe bag, to protect them from dust and damage.
