Care Instructions
Proper care will extend the life and maintain the performance of your puddle suit:
- Cleaning Mud/Light Dirt: For surface dirt, simply wipe clean with a damp cloth.
- Washing: If a full wash is needed, turn the suit inside out. Machine wash on a gentle cycle with cold water (30°C or less). Use a mild liquid detergent. Avoid fabric softeners, as they can impair the DWR finish and breathability.
- Drying: Air dry the suit away from direct heat or sunlight. Do not tumble dry, as high heat can damage the waterproof coating and taped seams.
- Do Not Bleach/Iron: Bleach will damage the fabric and DWR finish. Ironing is not recommended as it can melt or damage the waterproof membrane.
- Reactivating DWR: Over time, the DWR finish may wear off, causing water to soak into the fabric rather than bead. You can reactivate it by tumble drying on a low heat for a short period (if care label permits) or by using a DWR-restoring spray or wash-in product specifically designed for waterproof outerwear. > Info needed: Specific instructions on reactivating DWR from Regatta, if available.
