Setup, Compatibility & Care
Getting Started
- Sizing: Ensure you have selected the correct size (e.g., 18-24 Months for this specific variant) to allow for comfortable movement and potential layering underneath. The suit should fit snugly enough to prevent water ingress at the cuffs and waist, but loose enough not to restrict play.
- Dressing: Open the main zipper fully. Help your child step into one leg, then the other. Guide their arms through the sleeves. Zip the suit up completely, ensuring no skin or underlying clothing is caught.
- Adjustments: The elasticated cuffs and waist are designed for a secure fit. Ensure the hood is not obstructing vision if worn up.
Compatibility
- Age Group: This specific variant is designed for toddlers aged 18-24 Months.
- Material: Made from 100% Polyester for durable waterproof and breathable performance.
- Gender: Unisex design, suitable for all toddlers.
Care & Maintenance
Proper care is essential to maintain the waterproof and breathable properties of your Regatta Puddle Suit. Always refer to the garment's specific care label, but general guidelines for waterproof polyester include:
- Washing: Machine wash cold (30°C) on a gentle cycle. Use a small amount of liquid detergent specifically designed for technical waterproof clothing, or a mild non-biological detergent. Avoid fabric softeners, bleach, and harsh stain removers as these can degrade the DWR finish and damage the waterproof membrane.
- Drying: Do not tumble dry on high heat. Air dry by hanging the suit away from direct heat or sunlight. If tumble drying is necessary, use a very low heat setting for a short period.
- DWR Re-activation/Re-proofing: Over time, the DWR finish may wear off, causing the fabric to 'wet out' (absorb water). You can reactivate the DWR by gently tumble drying on a low heat for 20 minutes (if the care label allows) or by applying a suitable DWR re-proofing spray or wash-in product designed for waterproof garments. Follow the product's instructions carefully.
- Storage: Ensure the suit is completely dry before storing it in a cool, dry place.
