Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Professional Installation is Mandatory: Due to the dual fuel nature (gas hob and electric ovens), this appliance must be installed by a qualified Gas Safe registered engineer for the gas connection and a qualified electrician for the electrical connection. Attempting DIY installation can be dangerous and voids your warranty. Ensure your kitchen has appropriate gas and electrical supply points readily available.
Compatibility
- Space Requirements: Measure your kitchen carefully. This is a 90cm wide range cooker, requiring adequate space for installation and door clearance. Ensure sufficient ventilation as per local regulations.
- Fuel Supply: Requires a natural gas supply line (or LPG with a conversion kit) and a dedicated high-current electrical circuit for the ovens.
- Kitchen Design: Its cherry red finish with brushed nickel trim is a significant design element. Consider how it complements your existing kitchen aesthetic.
Care
- Daily Cleaning: For general spills and splashes on the hob and exterior, use a soft damp cloth and mild dish soap. Wipe dry immediately to prevent water spots.
- Hob Burners: Remove burner caps and pan supports periodically. Wash them in warm soapy water, rinse thoroughly, and ensure they are completely dry before re-installing.
- Oven Interior: For heavy grease and burnt-on food, consult your user manual for recommended oven cleaning products. Always ensure the oven is cool before cleaning. Some models may feature catalytic or pyrolytic liners; follow specific instructions for these.
- Glass Doors: Use a non-abrasive glass cleaner for the oven door glass.
- Brushed Nickel Trim: Polish with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners that could scratch the finish.
