Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your HOKA Challenger 8 trainers remain in top condition, follow these steps:
- Breaking In: Wear the shoes for shorter walks before committing to long-distance runs to allow the foam to adapt to your stride.
- Sizing: Ensure a thumb-width of space between your longest toe and the front of the shoe to account for foot swelling during exercise.
- Cleaning: After trail runs, remove loose mud by tapping the soles together or using a soft-bristled brush. Avoid submerging the shoes in water; instead, wipe the mesh upper with a damp cloth.
- Drying: Air dry the shoes at room temperature, keeping them away from direct heat sources like radiators or sunlight, which can warp the foam and damage the glue.
