Johnstone's Walls & Ceilings Matt Emulsion Paint is an ideal choice for homeowners and DIY enthusiasts seeking a durable, high-quality finish for their interior surfaces. Providing excellent coverage and a smooth, creamy application, it effectively masks minor wall imperfections to deliver a professional-looking result. While the matt finish is highly versatile and easy to clean, users should note that it may require careful preparation on highly porous surfaces to ensure optimal adhesion and long-lasting beauty.

While it is durable and wipeable, it is primarily designed for general interior walls and ceilings. For high-humidity areas, Johnstone's offers specialized kitchen and bathroom paints.
The paint is quick-drying, typically touch-dry within 1 to 2 hours depending on room temperature and humidity.
If painting over a similar, sound base, a primer is not always necessary. However, for bare plaster or drastic color changes, a dedicated primer or mist coat is recommended.
As this is a water-based emulsion, you can easily clean your brushes and rollers using warm water and a little washing-up liquid.
Yes, this formula is explicitly designed for both walls and ceilings.
Ensure you are using a high-quality roller sleeve and maintaining a 'wet edge' while painting.
The surface may be too dusty or greasy; clean the area thoroughly and let it dry completely before recoating.
Avoid overloading the roller and do not roll too quickly; use a slow, steady motion to keep the paint on the roller.
Preparation: Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free from loose paint, dust, or grease. If painting over glossy surfaces, lightly sand the area first to improve adhesion. For new plaster, ensure it is completely cured and consider applying a mist coat.
Compatibility: This paint is specifically formulated for interior walls and ceilings. It is compatible with most standard rollers and brushes.
Care: Store the paint in a cool, dry place and ensure the lid is tightly sealed to prevent skinning. To clean tools, use warm water and soap while the paint is still wet, as the formula sets firmly once dry.
