Because the Altra Olympus 7 utilizes a zero-drop platform, it is recommended to introduce the shoes into your rotation gradually if you have previously worn shoes with a significant heel-to-toe drop. This allows your Achilles tendon and calf muscles time to adjust to the change in strain. To care for your shoes, remove debris after every trail run. If they become heavily soiled, hand wash them with cold water and mild soap, then air dry away from direct heat sources to prevent the midsole foam from degrading or the materials from warping. Avoid machine washing or drying, as this can damage the adhesives and the integrity of the mesh upper.
