Johnstone's Wall & Ceiling Soft Sheen Paint is an ideal choice for homeowners and professionals seeking a sophisticated, velvety finish for their interiors. It provides a luxurious aesthetic while maintaining high durability, making it suitable for busy households and high-traffic areas. However, users should note that because of its subtle sheen, surface preparation is crucial to ensure the finish does not highlight underlying wall imperfections.

While it is durable and wipeable, it is primarily designed for general walls and ceilings. For high-humidity kitchens, consider a specialized moisture-resistant paint.
Yes, Johnstone's Soft Sheen is specifically formulated to be used on both walls and ceilings.
Use a soft cloth dampened with mild soapy water. Gently wipe the affected area, then dry with a clean cloth.
If you are painting over bare plaster or a very dark color, a primer or undercoat is recommended for the best finish.
No, it is a 'soft sheen,' which is much more subtle than a satin or silk finish, offering a gentle luster rather than a high-gloss look.
Ensure you are maintaining a 'wet edge' while painting and do not over-work the paint once it begins to tack up.
This is often caused by poor surface preparation. Ensure the wall is smooth and primed before applying the top coat.
This typically occurs if the paint was applied over a contaminated or greasy surface. Ensure deep cleaning of the wall prior to the next coat.
Ensure that all surfaces are clean, dry, and free from dust or grease before application. If you are painting over a porous surface, use a suitable primer or a thinned first coat to seal the wall. Stir the paint thoroughly before use to ensure a uniform consistency. When applying, use a high-quality roller for large areas and a synthetic brush for corners. To maintain the finish, clean the walls with a soft, damp cloth and avoid abrasive scrubbers that may damage the sheen. Always store the paint in a cool, dry place and ensure the lid is tightly sealed to prevent the emulsion from drying out.
