Setup, Compatibility & Care
Surface Preparation
Thorough preparation is key for a lasting, high-quality finish:
- Clean: Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry, and free from dust, dirt, grease, and loose material. Use a sugar soap solution for effective cleaning.
- Fill: Fill any cracks or holes with appropriate filler, then sand smooth.
- Sand: Lightly sand glossy surfaces to provide a key for the paint.
- Prime: For new plaster, porous surfaces, or when painting over strong colours, apply a suitable primer or a diluted first coat of this paint (check specific instructions on the can).
Application
- Stir the paint thoroughly before use.
- Apply with a good quality brush or roller.
- Apply two coats for best results, allowing adequate drying time between coats (refer to product label for specific recoat times).
- Maintain good ventilation during application and drying.
Compatibility
This paint is designed for interior walls and ceilings. It is not recommended for floors, high-wear furniture, or exterior use.
Care & Maintenance
- Cleaning Spills: For everyday marks and spills, gently wipe the affected area with a soft, damp cloth and a mild, non-abrasive cleaner. Avoid harsh scrubbing or abrasive cleaning agents, as this could still compromise the finish over time.
- Storage: Store paint in a cool, dry place, protected from frost. Ensure the lid is tightly sealed.
