Full details
The Saucony Ride 19 is a versatile trainer designed for adult runners who require a reliable daily shoe that balances softness, responsiveness, and lightweight construction. It is an ideal choice for neutral runners tackling everything from easy recovery miles to long, steady efforts and faster-paced training sessions. While it offers excellent adaptive cushioning and smooth transitions, users should note that as a neutral trainer, it lacks the specialized stability features found in dedicated motion-control footwear.

FAQs
Are the Saucony Ride 19 trainers suitable for wide feet?
The Ride 19 features an adaptive upper that accommodates a variety of foot shapes, but it follows a standard athletic trainer fit.
Can I use these for marathon training?
Yes, the Ride 19 is specifically designed for high-mileage training and offers the durability and comfort needed for long-distance preparation.
Is this a neutral shoe or a stability shoe?
The Ride 19 is categorized as a neutral trainer, designed for runners with a normal pronation pattern.
How long should these shoes last?
Generally, running shoes should be replaced every 300 to 500 miles, depending on your running surface and biomechanics.
Can I replace the insoles with custom orthotics?
Yes, the internal liners are removable, allowing you to insert your own custom orthotics if required.
Troubleshooting
Heel slipping while running
Try using a runner's loop (also known as a heel lock) lacing technique to secure the ankle collar.
Foam feeling firm in cold weather
This is normal for performance foams; store the shoes in a room-temperature environment before your run to keep the midsole flexible.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Exceptionally versatile for various run types
- Lightweight feel reduces fatigue
- Comfortable, adaptive upper fit
- Consistent, smooth ride quality
Cons
- Not intended for technical trail running
- Lacks support features for severe overpronation
- Requires proper sizing for optimal performance
Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure the longest lifespan for your Ride 19 trainers, always untie the laces before removing the shoes to preserve the integrity of the heel counter. If the shoes become wet, remove the insoles and stuff the interior with newspaper to draw out moisture; never place them in a clothes dryer, as high heat can damage the foam midsole and adhesives. For cleaning, brush off dried mud with a soft-bristle brush and wipe the mesh upper with a damp cloth and mild soap. Ensure the shoes are fully dry before the next run to maintain the cushioning properties and prevent odor buildup.
