Full details
The Saucony Ride 19 is a versatile trainer designed for adult runners who need a reliable shoe that transitions seamlessly from easy recovery miles to faster-paced training sessions. Featuring the reformulated PWRRUN+ foam, these trainers offer an improved balance of responsiveness and weight reduction, making them ideal for everyday performance. While they provide excellent comfort and energy return, users should note that they are optimized for road surfaces rather than technical trail terrain.

FAQs
Is the Saucony Ride 19 suitable for marathon training?
Yes, its combination of cushioning and responsiveness makes it a highly capable shoe for long-distance training and steady-state mileage.
How does the Ride 19 fit compared to other Saucony models?
The Ride 19 features a true-to-size fit, but the technical mesh upper is designed to be adaptable. If you are between sizes, we recommend prioritizing your larger size for long-run foot swelling.
Can I put these shoes in the washing machine?
No, machine washing can damage the structural integrity and the responsiveness of the foam midsole. Always hand clean with mild soap and water.
Is this shoe intended for road or trail running?
The Ride 19 is optimized for road and light pavement surfaces. It does not feature the aggressive lugs required for technical trail terrain.
What is the primary benefit of the reformulated PWRRUN+ foam?
The new formulation provides a lighter feel underfoot without sacrificing the cushioning or energy return you expect from the Ride series.
Troubleshooting
Feeling of slippage in the heel
Try the 'runner's loop' or 'lock lace' technique to secure the heel fit against the cushioned collar.
Visible dirt or debris in the mesh
Use a dry, soft-bristle brush to gently remove surface debris after each run to prevent grinding dirt into the fabric.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Significantly lighter and softer than previous iterations
- Highly responsive energy return for varied paces
- Breathable mesh upper maintains foot temperature
- Versatile performance suitable for daily training
Cons
- Not designed for rugged or technical off-road trails
- Performance focus may feel less stable for those requiring extreme motion control
- Lightweight foam may show wear faster if used on abrasive surfaces
Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure the best experience, wear your Saucony Ride 19s with moisture-wicking running socks to complement the breathable mesh upper. If you use custom orthotics, the internal liner can be removed to accommodate them comfortably. For maintenance, avoid machine washing or drying the shoes, as heat can degrade the cushioning foam and adhesive. Instead, clean the exterior with a soft brush and mild soap, and allow them to air dry at room temperature away from direct sunlight.
