Product Information
Full details
The Saucony Ride 19 is a versatile trainer designed for adult runners who need a reliable shoe that transitions seamlessly from easy daily miles to faster-paced training sessions. Featuring an updated construction that is both softer and lighter than its predecessor, this model offers a responsive ride that moves naturally with your foot. While it excels in comfort and adaptability for various workout types, runners seeking a dedicated racing flat or a heavy-duty stability shoe may find its neutral design requires a transition period to adapt to its specific level of cushioning.

FAQs
Is the Saucony Ride 19 suitable for marathon training?
Yes, its combination of cushioning and weight makes it a popular choice for high-mileage training blocks.
Can I use these for gym workouts?
They are ideal for treadmill running, but for heavy weightlifting, you may prefer a flatter, more stable shoe.
How should these fit?
You should have about a thumb's width of space between your longest toe and the end of the shoe.
Are these shoes waterproof?
No, they are designed with breathable mesh and are not waterproof.
How often should I replace them?
It is generally recommended to replace running shoes every 300 to 500 miles, depending on your running surface and gait.
Troubleshooting
Feeling pressure points on the top of the foot
Try using the extra eyelets to perform a 'runner's knot' or adjust the lacing tension to reduce localized pressure.
Slipping inside the heel cup
Ensure the heel is fully seated in the back of the shoe and use the top-most lacing loop to lock the heel in place.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Significantly lighter and softer feel than previous versions
- Highly versatile for both steady runs and speed work
- Breathable upper material maintains comfort during long sessions
- Natural, smooth transition from landing to takeoff
Cons
- Neutral platform may not offer enough support for severe overpronators
- Brown and cream aesthetic may show dirt more easily than darker colors
- Cushioning profile might feel too soft for runners who prefer a firm, grounded feel
Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure the longevity of your Saucony Ride 19 trainers, keep these maintenance tips in mind:
- Break-in Period: Wear the shoes for short periods or shorter walks before your first long-distance run to allow the materials to adapt to your foot shape.
- Cleaning: Gently wipe the surface with a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid soaking the shoes or using a washing machine, as high heat and heavy agitation can degrade the cushioning foam and glue.
- Drying: Air dry the shoes at room temperature, away from direct heat sources like radiators or sunlight, which can cause the materials to warp or stiffen.
- Storage: Keep them in a cool, dry place to prevent moisture buildup in the foam.
