Full details
The Karrimor Duma 6 running shoes are designed for beginner athletes and casual users seeking a reliable, versatile trainer for daily exercise, gym workouts, or everyday activity. These shoes offer a key balance of comfort and structural support through their specialized midsole technology and cushioned insoles; however, users should note that they are optimized primarily for light to moderate activity rather than high-performance competitive marathon racing.

FAQs
Are these shoes suitable for professional long-distance marathons?
The Duma 6 is designed for beginners and casual use. While very comfortable, they may lack the specific high-end stability technology required for competitive marathon racing.
Can I put these trainers in the washing machine?
It is not recommended. Machine washing can damage the adhesive and the structural integrity of the Phylon midsole. Stick to hand-cleaning.
Are the insoles removable?
Yes, the Ortholite insoles can be removed, which is helpful for cleaning or replacing them with custom orthotics.
Are these true to size?
The Duma 6 generally runs true to standard UK athletic sizing. If you prefer a wider fit or wear thicker socks, consider trying on a half-size up.
What is the primary benefit of the Phylon midsole?
The Phylon material is lightweight and provides superior shock absorption, which helps reduce impact stress on your knees and ankles.
Troubleshooting
Visible dirt on the white knit upper
Use a soft-bristle brush and mild detergent to gently scrub the fabric, then wipe with a clean, damp cloth.
Feeling of slipping inside the shoe
Ensure the laces are tensioned correctly across the midfoot and check that you are wearing appropriate athletic socks.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Lightweight construction reduces foot fatigue
- High-breathability through the seamless knitted upper
- Ortholite cushioning provides excellent underfoot comfort
- Good traction on gym floors and pavement
- Versatile aesthetic suitable for multiple environments
Cons
- Not intended for extreme long-distance running
- Limited water resistance due to the knit material
- White colorway requires frequent cleaning to maintain appearance
Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure the longevity of your Karrimor Duma 6 trainers, follow these care guidelines:
- Fitting: Ensure you are wearing your preferred athletic socks when trying on the shoes to get an accurate feel for the size and arch support.
- Cleaning: Gently wipe the knitted upper with a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid submerging the shoes in water or using high-heat dryers, as this can degrade the foam midsole.
- Air Drying: If the shoes get wet, remove the insoles and allow them to air dry naturally away from direct heat sources like radiators.
- Insole Maintenance: If the Ortholite insoles begin to compress after extensive use, consider replacing them with aftermarket inserts to maintain original cushioning levels.
