FAQs

Is the hood removable?

No, the jacket features a fixed elasticated hood for added convenience.

Is this jacket waterproof?

It is water-repellent, meaning it is designed to shed light rain, but it is not fully waterproof for heavy downpours.

Can I tumble dry the jacket?

It is recommended to air dry the jacket to protect the insulation and outer material.

What is WARMLOFT insulation?

WARMLOFT is a high-performance synthetic insulation that mimics the warmth and comfort of down but is easier to wash and remains warm even when damp.

Does the jacket come in other colors?

Yes, this model is available in both Blue and Black color variants.

Is it suitable for winter?

It is suitable for cool to moderately cold weather but is best used as a layering piece if conditions become extreme.

Troubleshooting

Zip feels stiff or sticks

Ensure no fabric is caught in the zipper teeth and gently clear any debris or lint from the track.

Water soaking into the fabric

The water-repellent finish may wear off over time; consider applying a specialized DWR (Durable Water Repellent) spray to restore the coating.

Pros and Cons

Pros

High-loft warmth-to-weight ratio
Water-repellent finish provides good weather resistance
Reflective detailing improves child visibility
Lightweight and comfortable for active play
Secure zipper closures on all pockets

Cons

Not intended for heavy torrential rain
Fixed hood cannot be removed
Limited to cool, not extreme cold weather usage

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To ensure the longevity of your Regatta Lofthouse Padded Jacket, follow these maintenance tips:

Washing: Machine wash on a gentle cycle at 30 degrees Celsius using a mild detergent.
Drying: Air dry the jacket naturally on a hanger to maintain the loft of the insulation; avoid direct high-heat sources like radiators or tumble dryers which can damage the synthetic fibers.
Storage: Hang the jacket in a dry place to ensure the water-repellent finish remains effective over time.
Compatibility: The slim-to-regular fit works well over light school uniforms or base layers without creating excess bulk that restricts movement.
