FAQs

Are these boots waterproof?

While the leather offers some natural resistance, they are not marketed as fully waterproof; it is recommended to apply a water-repellent spray if you plan to wear them in wet conditions.

How do I determine my correct size?

These boots follow standard UK sizing for adults. We recommend using your standard boot or shoe size for the best fit.

Can I replace the insole?

The OrthoLite Impressions footbed is designed for comfort, but if you require custom orthotics, ensure they are compatible with the boot's volume before replacing.

How should I clean the rubber outsole?

Use a soft-bristled brush and warm, soapy water to scrub the rubber outsole, then air dry away from direct heat.

Are these suitable for wide feet?

The Stone Heights series is built on a standard width; if you have particularly wide feet, you may find the fit snug, especially around the side-zip area.

Troubleshooting

Difficulty zipping the boots

Ensure the internal fabric flap is laying flat and not caught in the zipper teeth; if resistance persists, rub a small amount of wax on the zipper track.

Boots feel too tight initially

Leather will naturally stretch and conform to your foot with wear; wear them for short intervals indoors to begin the break-in process.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Convenient side-zip design for easy wear
  • Superior arch support via steel shank
  • High-quality leather construction
  • Memory foam footbed for personalized comfort

Cons

  • Tall profile may feel stiff initially
  • Leather requires specific maintenance products
  • Fit is limited to specific sizing runs

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To ensure the longevity of your leather boots, avoid direct exposure to extreme heat sources, which can dry out the material.

  1. Cleaning: Wipe down the leather exterior with a damp cloth to remove surface dirt and debris after use.
  2. Conditioning: Apply a leather-specific conditioner periodically to maintain the suppleness of the material and prevent cracking.
  3. Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Consider using boot trees to maintain the tall shaft's shape when not in use.
  4. Compatibility: These boots feature a standard fit; ensure you wear appropriate socks to prevent friction during the initial break-in period.
