Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup & Fit
When first wearing your RS-15 boots, ensure they fit snugly but comfortably. The lacing system should be tightened to secure your foot without restricting circulation. Experiment with the lacing to find a personalized fit that supports your foot during dynamic movements and enhances kicking accuracy. A proper fit is key to comfort and performance.
Compatibility
These boots are specifically designed for soft ground conditions, such as wet, muddy, or natural grass pitches. The stud configuration (a mix of metal and moulded studs) is optimized for penetrating soft surfaces to provide maximum traction and stability. Using them on firm ground, artificial turf, or hard surfaces will compromise grip, potentially damage the boots and the playing surface, and increase the risk of injury. Always choose the correct boots for your playing environment.
Care & Maintenance
- Cleaning: After each use, especially on soft ground, remove as much mud and dirt as possible. Use a soft brush or damp cloth to wipe the synthetic upper and sole. Ensure all mud is cleared from between the studs to maintain optimal grip. Regular cleaning prevents mud from hardening and becoming more difficult to remove.
- Drying: Allow the boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Avoid direct heat sources like radiators or prolonged direct sunlight, as this can damage the synthetic materials and adhesives. You can stuff them with newspaper to absorb excess moisture and help maintain their shape.
- Stud Maintenance: Regularly check the metal studs for wear, damage, or looseness. Replace any worn or missing studs promptly to ensure consistent grip, prevent discomfort, and maintain the boot's effectiveness.
- Storage: Store your boots in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight when not in use. This helps preserve the integrity of the materials.
