Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Initial Try-On: Always try on boots with the type of socks you'll wear during play. Ensure a snug, comfortable fit without excessive pressure points.
- Break-In Period: While often comfortable out of the box, allow for a short break-in period. Wear them for light training sessions or walks before competitive play to adapt them to your foot shape.
- Lacing: Experiment with different lacing techniques to find the securest and most comfortable fit for your foot. Ensure laces are tight enough to provide support but not constrictive.
Compatibility
These Puma Ultra Ultimate Football Boots are specifically designed for:
- Firm Ground (FG): Natural grass pitches that are dry and firm.
- Artificial Grass (AG): Modern synthetic turf surfaces.
Using them on very soft, muddy, or extremely hard surfaces may reduce performance and accelerate wear.
Care
Proper care extends the life and maintains the performance of your boots:
- Immediate Cleaning: After each use, remove loose dirt and grass with a soft brush or damp cloth. Avoid harsh scrubbing that could damage the upper.
- Washing: For deeper cleaning, use a mild soap solution and a soft cloth or sponge. Do not machine wash or use harsh detergents.
- Drying: Allow boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Avoid direct sunlight, radiators, or tumble dryers, as high heat can damage synthetic materials and adhesives. Stuffing them with newspaper can help absorb moisture and maintain shape.
- Storage: Store boots in a cool, dry place, away from extreme temperatures. Consider a boot bag to protect them during transport.
- Sockliner Care: The removable NanoGrip sockliner can be removed and air-dried separately if it becomes excessively damp or needs freshening.
