Full details
The ASICS GEL-1130 trainers are designed for adults seeking a versatile, retro-inspired sneaker that bridges the gap between performance running heritage and everyday casual wear. Based on the 2008 GEL-1000 series, these trainers offer exceptional underfoot comfort through signature GEL technology, though users should note that as a lifestyle-focused model, they are optimized for city streets rather than high-intensity athletic training.

FAQs
Are these shoes suitable for running?
While the GEL-1130 originates from a stability running series, it is now positioned as a lifestyle trainer for casual use, not for high-mileage athletic running.
How do I clean the leather parts of the shoe?
Use a soft, slightly damp cloth to wipe away dirt. For deeper stains, use a dedicated leather cleaner suitable for sports footwear.
Are these shoes unisex?
Yes, the GEL-1130 is designed as a unisex model, fitting a wide range of foot shapes.
What is the purpose of the TRUSSTIC system?
The TRUSSTIC support system is a molded component under the midfoot that provides structural stability and prevents the shoe from twisting during movement.
Does the shoe provide good arch support?
Yes, the combination of the stability-focused chassis and the GEL cushioning provides a supportive platform for most standard foot arches.
Troubleshooting
Laces coming untied frequently
Ensure you are using a double knot if the laces are stiff from newness, or replace with aftermarket laces if the texture is too smooth.
Creasing on the leather upper
This is a normal characteristic of natural leather; using a shoe tree when not in use helps maintain the shape and minimize deep creases.

Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your ASICS GEL-1130 trainers remain in excellent condition:
- Sizing: Ensure you select the correct UK size, as the leather construction provides a structured fit that does not stretch significantly over time.
- Cleaning: Wipe down leather surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid submerging the shoes in water or using harsh chemical cleaners, as these can damage the material finishes.
- Storage: Store your shoes in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent leather cracking or color fading.
- Lacing: Adjust the laces initially for a snug fit, but avoid overtightening, which can put unnecessary pressure on the bridge of the foot.
